Ayush Herbs® is dedicated to making the world a better place. Whether it is through the care given to the growing of our herbs, the treatment of the people working for us in our fields and factories or by supporting the communities surrounding our growing efforts in India and across the globe; Ayush Herbs® is committed to having a positive impact wherever we do business.
One of the ways that pledge has come to life is through the use of renewable energy. Our state-of the-art hydroelectric project employs a micro-unit generator that does not disturb the natural flow of the river; thereby protecting fish runs and wildlife while aiding local farmers and villages, enhancing their quality of life, and encouraging them to have less impact on the environment as well. We have instituted a program to eliminate deforestation and encourage long-term sustainability of all resources indigenous to the region. We have introduced a program that educates the villagers about how to wildcraft without destroying the environment, making sure that harvesting indigenous plants remains sustainable for generations to come. We are working every day to discover ways that we can add to our sustainable practices. We make an effort to recycle everything possible, and we conserve electricity in our offices in the United States as well as in India. We use nontoxic cleaning products, use recycled material whenever possible, reuse water to cultivate the planting of trees, and use organic practices to grow our Ayurvedic products. We do business with like-minded distributors and manufacturers to further reduce our impact. Our goal is to live in harmony with Mother Nature and to reduce our carbon footprint. We make ongoing efforts to achieve that goal while continuing to provide the highest quality in everything we do.

Our Commitment – Bringing Power To India
On January 17th, 2011, Sodhi Brothers Hydro Pvt. Ltd. completed construction of their hydro-electric facility in India, to power its farms and surrounding communities. Located in the Boh region of Himachal Pradesh, India, the 4-megawatt plant will help bring electricity to Himachal and its surroundings, an area suffering from an acute shortage of power, in a manner that has little impact on the environment.
The tribal peoples of India’s Himachal Pradesh region have wild-crafted (harvested) native species of plants for generations. However, tribal traditions of depending on wild plant growth could no longer support the growing demand for these precious herbs. Immediately, Ayush Herbs® recognized the importance of sharing sustainable farming practices with the Himachal peoples; ensuring the long-term availability of these beneficial plants and helping to protect a unique way of life. Throughout Ayush Herbs®’s history, our sustainability efforts and our commitment to the people of Himachal Pradesh have won recognition from the Indian government; bringing us awards for providing outstanding services to society, technological innovation, and product excellence, as well as recognition of commendable entrepreneurship.
Ayush Herbs® continues its commitment to its growers, community, and customers by providing better-than-market-wage jobs, education about sustainable harvesting, community clinics free of charge for those who are unable to pay, clean water facilities in areas that previously had none, and many other services; including educational opportunities for the tribal communities of the Himachal Pradesh region

Our Green Commitment – School Programs
Ayush Herbs® has had the privilege of working with Issaquah School District and the kids in the Academy for Transition Program for the past year. Working with The Academy for Transition program has been an invaluable experience for all in providing the kids an opportunity for job experience, interacting with a local business and gaining valuable resume building experience with which they can go forward in their lives as active members of the working population. For Ayush Herbs® it has provided our staff the opportunity to get to know these wonderful kids and be assisted in the day to day activities of business operations. The sample packets we provide to our customers are put together by these differently abled individuals with great pride and attention to detail and we count ourselves fortunate to have the opportunity to be part of such an amazing opportunity.
